There are a number of ways you can get involved in the campaign, why not…

 

  • Join the Wales Environment Link marine campaign supporter’s database to be kept up to the date with news and to hear about events going on near you.  For more information, click here.
  • Visit marine and coastal reserves around Wales and learn more about Welsh seas and wildlife click on the places to go page for some ideas.
  • Support the organisations that are working on the Wales Environment Link Marine Campaign, by becoming a member or visiting one of their reserves.  All of the member organisations web addresses are available on the useful links page.
  • Volunteer by contacting a local conservation organisation to find out how you can get involved in their marine work.  For ideas, see some of our member organisations websites.
  • Write to your local Assembly Member to call for the swift and effective implementation of the Marine Act in Wales.  For advice on how to do this or for more information about the WEL campaign, please contact us.
  • Find out more about the Welsh Assembly Government’s work on identifying highly protected Marine Conservation Zones, marine planning and other marine management issues by clicking here.
  • Organise a beach clean on a local beach.  For ideas, visit the Marine Conservation Society website.
  • Inspire your friends, family and colleagues by sharing with them the places you have explored around Wales’ coastline and the importance of our marine environment.
